The God of grace

‘Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you. . . ’ Isaiah 30.18

Isaiah spoke these words to a people who had wandered away from God and turned their backs on him. Despite this, God wanted to communicate his longing and passionate love for them. They may indeed have turned their backs on him, but his desire was to be gracious.

How much more does God long to be gracious to us? Sometimes it is tempting to imagine that when he sees us approaching, an air of weariness strikes him, yet nothing could be further from the truth. God is gracious and he longs to show his grace to us in far greater measure than we have already experienced, because the extent of his grace is limitless.

We are all urged to extend more of God’s character and grace to others, but we are also called to be receptive to God’s wonderful grace, which he is longing to pour out on us; to enjoy his loving kindness and receive his provision. Look out for it today and expect to receive it.

How wonderful how marvoulous, this is so beautiful, I had been tempted to think God was tired of me coming to him petitioning not only for self but others now I can, see more grace to shine out to others and pray his wonderful grace on others so they may receive him more fully too praise the lord , thank you Jesus
