Enjoying God’s promises

“What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do.” Isaiah 46.11

Promises in the Bible can be so comforting, but when times are hard and things seem to be getting worse, they can be quite difficult to hold on to. At such moments, you may be desperate to see quick and clear answers to your prayers, and yet sometimes it is only by looking back that it’s possible to see God’s hand at work.

If you are having a hard time at the moment, one thing you can do is hold on to hope – hope to believe that there is more for you. Today’s verse may help to fan the flame of hope within you, reminding you to look to God’s promises to give you hope. So today, as you look ahead to areas of potential struggle and difficulty, fan the fire of hope with these words: ‘What he has said he will bring about, what he has planned he will do.’

On our encounterprayer.net website there’s a blog with suggestions about hanging on to God’s promises and love – have a quick look . . .

A healing touch from Jesus can be life changing – which is wonderful! – but if you, or the people you are praying for, are inclined to make any significant change to your lifestyle, please think it through carefully and check it out with a wise friend, doctor or church leader first.
